Sections raises $4m

Investment round led by Makers Fund and Sequoia Capital India's Surge

Modding service has secured $4 million during its latest funding round.

The cross-platform modding service allows developers to launch their own modding communities across PC, consoles, mobile and VR.

The $4 million round was led by Sequoia Capital India's Surge program and Makers Fund.

Other contributors included Play Ventures, GameTech Ventures and Machinefloor.

The news follows a $1m seed round earlier this year. launched last year, and was formed by parent company ModDB, a long-running and popular modding site.

It is used in over 50 games, including SnowRunner, Skater XL and Totally Accurate Battle Simulator. Mods created with have been downloaded 65 million times.
