Resolution Games launches VR publishing arm

First partnership will bring Odd Raven Studio's Carly and the Reaperman to Oculus Quest and Quest 2 next year

Virtual reality developer Resolution Games has branched out into publishing as it helps other studios bring their titles to key headsets.

The company says its aim is to "help advance VR adoption rates across the industry" by bringing more content to more platforms.

The first publishing deal is with Swedish developer Odd Raven Studios, creator of co-operative VR platform game Carly and the Reaperman.

The title is already available for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality headsets. Resolution will help Odd Raven bring it to Oculus Quest and Quest 2 in the first half of 2021.

"As part of this and future relationships, our studio is able to use our skills honed over the last five-plus years to help other developers navigate all the elements to bring their existing virtual reality games to more platforms," said Resolution CEO Tommy Palm.

He added: "The goal is to add value to all involved -- including developers and platform providers -- by ensuring more top quality content comes to market at an accelerated rate."
