Erica developer Flavourworks completes £3.5 million Series A funding round

New investor GC Tracker Fund adds £500,000 to studio's total, finance will be invested into touch video tech

UK indie Flavourworks has completed its Series A round of funding to the tune of £3.5 million.

The developer has previously raised £3 million towards the beginning of the round, but has now secured an additional investment of £500,000.

The new investor is venture capitalist Jon Goldman, investing through the GC Tracker Fund. He joins existing backers Hiro Capital and Sky Venues.

Flavourworks is best known for the PlayStation-exclusive narrative title Erica. The game is powered by the studio's patent-pending Touch Video technology, which enables players to interact with live-action footage in real-time.

The completed funding round will enable Flavourworks to invest further in this technology, as well as work on new IP and other games.
