Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have sold a combined 150m units

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best-selling game of the last four years in the US, by dollar sales

Today, Take-Two Interactive revealed that Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have sold a combined total of 150 million units since their respective launches.

At least 115 million of those units (and likely more) were Grand Theft Auto V alone, which reached that sales milestone back in November. At that time, Red Dead Redemption 2 was revealed to have reached 26.5 million units sold.

Both games saw a particularly strong holiday season, with SuperData reporting that Grand Theft Auto V's Diamond Casino Heist update brought in $84.7 million in revenue in December.

Red Dead Redemption 2, meanwhile, launched on Steam last month, doubling its digital unit sales from 406,000 in November to one million units in December. It was also bolstered by its Moonshiners update, which Take-Two says helped the game hit a new peak in player numbers in December.

According to the NPD Group, Grand Theft Auto V was the best-selling game of the decade in the US, while Red Dead Redemption 2 was the best-selling game of the last four years -- both according to dollar sales.
