Streamlabs launches App Store focused on streamer support

New app platform offers $15 credit, heavy curation, app developer fund

Streamer tools and support platform Streamlabs has announced today it is launching its own App Store focused on Streamlabs OBS-built apps for livestreaming support.

The App Store will offer a $15 credit to users who join the platform, which they can spend on any of the ten apps that will be available at launch. These apps provide various streaming support features such as dashboards, timers, polls, stats, sim-casting tools, and music broadcasting.

In addition, Streamlabs hopes to continue to grow its pool of available apps through a $1 million developer fund particularly aimed at developers with apps still in early development. For now, the Streamlabs App Store will remain invite-only to developers, which Streamlabs says is to better enable the company to support the developers that are there.

Revenue from apps will follow an industry-standard 70/30 split with 70% going to developers.

"The launch of this app store will make Streamlabs OBS deeply customizable to the needs of every streamer," said Streamlabs CEO Ali Moiz. "It's hugely important to us that this is sustainable for our partners, as well."
