Fluffy Fairy Games rebrands to Kolibri Games

Idle Miner Tycoon creator abandons name that "no longer reflected the company"

After two years and two successful idle clicker game releases, Fluffy Fairy Games is ditching its old name and rebranding as Kolibri Games.

In a Medium post explaining the change, the Berlin studio says the rebranding was necessary to better "reflect its essence and underline its status as a serious contender in the gaming industry."

Kolibri currently has over 80 employees and "eight-figure revenues." Its two games, Idle Miner Tycoon and Idle Factory Tycoon have together accumulated a total of over 50 million downloads.

The name, Kolibri, is the German word for "hummingbird" and is intended to showcase that the company is agile and mobile, as well as reflect the studio's philosophy of "lean" development.

"Fluffy Fairy Games was a funny and friendly name that we got really attached to, and that many of us identified with," said co-CEO and co-founder Janosch Sadowski. "However, it no longer reflected the company that we are, nor the type of company that we aspire to be."
