Homescapes emulates Gardenscapes with reported $420m first year revenue

Sensor Tower's data suggests another massive hit for Playrix

Playrix's Homescapes reached $420 million in revenue in its first year on the App Store and Google Play, around half of the amount earned by its hit predecessor, Gardenscapes.

According to data from Sensor Tower, Homescapes passed $400 million in revenue on its first birthday, after earning around $28.5 million across the App Store and Google Play to hit $420 million overall.

It also hit 82 million downloads in September, of which 63 per cent came through Google Play. Indeed, Homsecapes was downloaded more than 240,000 times on September 21 alone, thanks to a major update timed to coincide with its first anniversary. This is the highest daily download figure since October 2017.

Sensor Tower's data puts Gardenscapes' lifetime revenue at $880 million, since it launched in August 2016. Based on that figure, Homescapes has earned around half the revenue in just under half the time.
