Andy Yates promoted at Nintendo UK

20-year Nintendo veteran named Deputy General Manager

Long-standing Nintendo UK exec Andy Yates has been promoted.

Yates has held numerous roles at Nintendo's UK arm, mostly recently as sales director where he has been responsible for the company's retail business. He's been a senior member of the company since the launch of the GameCube, and previously worked at Nintendo's exclusive UK distributor - THE Games.

He now takes the role of deputy general manager for Nintendo UK, reporting into Nintendo UK general manager Nicolas Wegnez.

He will continue to lead the company's sales efforts, whilst taking on wider responsibilities within the UK division. His new appointment is effective immediately.
