Nexon's Darkness Rises off to strong start with 10 million downloads

EMERYVILLE, Calif. - August 2 - Darkness Rises, Nexon's high fidelity third-person action role playing game (RPG) on mobile devices, has been downloaded more than 10 million times since its launch on June 20. Players worldwide have descended into the game's dark fantasy universe to experience the console-quality, high-definition visuals and fast and fluid combat to battle monstrous creatures and viscous bosses.

To celebrate the player community, a series of in-game events and prizes can be enjoyed beginning today through to August 8 including:

Special Daily Login Bonus: Players who log into Darkness Rises will be able to secure exclusive in-game prizes ranging from massive gold and gem gifts, special chests and celebratory gear.

Daily EXP & Gold Boosts: During each day of the celebratory event, players can enjoy a 10% gold boost and 20% EXP boost from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.

In addition, a new in-game update is available now and will give players a chance to team up in a Raid battle to take on Gigantes, a hulking iron giant and the next boss to arrive into the abyss of Darkness Rises. The update also brings a series of enhancements to gear customization, the Grimoire system and new options for in-game events. A series of new sets of gear including the Three Kingdoms Armor and Summer Rash Guard are also available to collect, equip and upgrade.

Darkness Rises features fast and fluid combat that is highly intuitive and provides players with the flexibility and customization to fit their playstyle. Players will adventure through a dark fantasy narrative as a customized hero selected from a cast of powerful and diverse character classes, evolving and leveling up their skills and collecting gear along the way. Cooperative dungeons give up to four players a chance to team up in real-time to take on epic challenges together and the Player vs Player (PVP) mode gives players a chance to test their might against their friends and others.
