Submissions open for EGX 2018 Leftfield Collection

Get free exhibition space for your alternative indie games at the NEC in September

Independent developers can now apply to be part of this year's Leftfield Collection at EGX, the UK's biggest games event.

The Collection is a staple for the popular games show, giving studios the chance to show off their more unusual projects to the thousands of consumers that attend. Titles that feature often sit just outside the realm of traditional video games, whether that's down to an alternative input scheme or an unorthodox structure or mechanic.

Once again sponsored by Sega, the exhibition gives selected developers free space on the show floor but available slots are extremely limited. Gamer Network receives a high number of applications every year, so be sure to read the guide on submissions before filling in the form.

The deadline for applications is Friday, August 10th. Chosen developers will be able to showcase their game as part of the Leftfield Collection when EGX 2018 is held at the NEC in Birmingham from September 20th to 23rd.

Games do not necessarily need to be close to finished or in a highly polished state; prototypes are just as welcome.

Any further queries about the Leftfield Collection should be directed to curator David Hayward but submissions must be made via the application form.

Indies interested in booking their own exhibition space in the Rezzed area should email commercial manager Matt Styles.
