What the Golf? wins Indie Showcase at Develop:Brighton

Skybolt Jack honored with People's Choice award

The Indie Showcase at Develop:Brighton has announced its award winners for 2018.

What the Golf? from Triband is the judge-selected winner of the showcase, while Skybolt Jack from Devs Must Die was recognized with the People's Choice award.

The winners were selected from nearly 100 independently developer entries sent in earlier this year, ten of which were selected to appear at the showcase. The overall winner was chosen by a panel of judges, and attendees were able to vote on the People's Choice winner.

Judges chose the winning game based on originality, gameplay, aesthetics, and technical achievement.

"This has been a fantastic year for the Develop Conference Indie Showcase," said Alistair Aitcheson, chair of the judging panel. "All ten of the selected games showed an incredible level of technical ability and imagination, and it was a delight to be able to play them at the conference and meet the developers behind them."
