Blizzard, ArenaNet and Twitch join line-up for Devcom 2018

Other new speakers include Tamalaki's Martine Spaans, Stray Fawn's Philomena Schwab, and Bioshock composer Garry Schyman

Senior staff from Blizzard Entertainment, ArenaNet and Twitch have joined the speaker line-up at this year's Devcom conference, which takes place before Gamescom in Cologne, Germany.

Saralyn Smith has held numerous positions within Blizzard, most prominently as the company's senior director of global community development - a vital component in the success of Blizzard's portfolio of online games. She recently took the role of executive producer for BlizzCon.

ArenaNet's Jason VandenBerghe joined the Guild Wars 2 developer from Ubisoft Montreal, where he was creative director on For Honor. VandenBerghe will share knowledge on working with AAA budgets and AAA publishers.

Ethan Evans is Executive VP of Commerce, Developers, and Twitch Prime, the latter being the streaming platform's premium subscription service. His keynote talk will offer insight on, "money, reach, and new communities for your game."

Other new speakers include Garry Schyman, a composer perhaps best known for his score for Irrational's Bioshock, Tamalaki founder Martine Spaans, and Star Faw Studio co-founder Philomena Schwab.

This all builds on a schedule that already includes Peter Molyneux, Siobhan Reddy, Cory Barlog and Richard Garriott.

Devcom will take place in Cologne, Germany on August 19 and 20, the two days leading up to Gamescom. There will also be a "Pitch & Match @ gamescom" event on August 21, where developers can meet and network with publishers in short meetings.

You can find more information about the event on the official website.
