Neil Druckmann named VP of Naughty Dog

Last of Us Part II creative director gets a new title to reflect his role on the studio's management team

Neil Druckmann is getting a new title. Naughty Dog today announced that the creative director on The Last of Us Part II has been named Vice President of the studio "in recognition of his expanded role, contributing on critical, studio-level decisions."

"He's been a vital part of the management team for some time now, and we're proud to formally acknowledge his involvement," Naughty Dog president Evan Wells said. "In addition to his new position, Neil will continue as the creative director on The Last of Us Part II."

Additionally, Wells said Anthony Newman and Kurt Margenau have been named joint game directors on The Last of Us Part II, with Emilia Schatz and Richard Cambier serving as lead designers.

The Last of Us Part II was first announced in December of 2016. The game has no release date as yet.
