A new EGX is coming to Berlin in September 2018

First international event for Gamer Network

EGX Berlin will debut this year, from September 28th to September 30th.

It is the first international sibling show to EGX, which takes place in Birmingham, and EGX Rezzed, which occurs in London.

Like the UK shows, EGX Berlin will feature unreleased blockbuster triple-A games, plus a wide array of brand new and upcoming indie games.

20,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which will be exclusive for consumers over 18. It takes place at Station Berlin, and will include cosplay, retro gaming, esports, meet and greets with games personalities, plus the Developer Sessions. These sessions will feature talks and insights into some of the biggest upcoming projects.

Tickets go on sale in April.

GamesIndustry.biz will act as a partner to the event, alongside Eurogamer, VG247, RockPaperShotgun, OutsideXbox, Digital Foundry and MetaBomb. Gamer Network has an existing presence in Germany through the websites Eurogamer.de and RockPaperShotgun.de.

"EGX has been firmly established as the premiere UK event for publishers, developers and hardware suppliers for many years now," said Oliver Menne, Managing Director of Eurogamer Germany "We will share their focus on getting quality hands-on time with games. We are also intending to take the hassle out of organising a major event by offering publishers an easy way to work with our unique turnkey solution. EGX Berlin is the right time, in the right place by the right people."
