Like a Boss Games secures $1.6m investment

Swedish start-up aims to release several multiplayer titles in the near future

Mobile developer Like a Boss Games has secured a $1.6 million investment.

This follows on from the $500,000 initially invested shortly after the studio was founded in 2015, and an undisclosed amount from Milky Way Cap earlier this year.

The Swedish start-up is led by CEO Alex Aguilera, who has experience working at EA, Viaplay, and Glorious Games. The studio is currently working on competitive and social games for sports fans with its first release scheduled for mid-2018.

Investors in the company so far include Almi Invest, former King senior vice president Fredrik Åhlberg, and multiple private investors.

"We aim to become one of the leading sports games studios and we are really looking forward to soon be able to show what the team has been working on for the last year," Aguilera told PocketGamer.biz.

"It will be our first out of several multiplayer game releases in the near future."
