Zeptolab's CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars has been named the Best Game of 2017 by Google Play's editors.

CATS launched in April this year, and has since been downloaded more than ten million times. The gameplay is built on a combination of building machines and PvP combat, with Google Play's editors praising it for, "glossy graphics, and an impressively intuitive interface."

The other games mentioned in the category were King's Bubble Witch Saga 3 (a "close" second place), Voodoo Arcade's Snake vs Block, and Playdemic Sports' Golf Clash.

Google Play named Kefir!'s Last Day on Earth: Survival the most Innovative game of 2017, in a category that also included Boombit Games' Build a Bridge, Nexon M's After the End: Forsaken Destiny and Battlejack RPG, and Zut's Love Hue.
