Develop:Brighton 2017 opens call for speakers

Streamlined conference returns this July, deadline for submissions is March 20th

Tandem Events has opened the call for any industry members who want to be considered as speakers for this year's Develop:Brighton conference.

The event will once again be held at Brighton's Hilton Metropole hotel, running from Tuesday, July 11th to Thursday, July 13th. Registration will open next month.

For 2017, the organisers have whittled down the number of tracks to just six, covering art, audio, business, coding, design and indie. These will be the focuses for the main conference, which runs from July 12th to 13th, while Tuesday July 11th will once again host Evolve, a single track that explores the future of games development.

The speaker submissions process has also been updated. In addition to the usual application, potential speakers must provide a two-minute video of themselves talking about their session and a 140-character summary that can be used to promote it via Twitter.

Full details on how to submit can be found at www.developconference.com. The deadline for all submissions is Monday, March 20th.

GamesIndustry.biz has open its own call for speakers, this time for the Ukie Careers Bar at EGX Rezzed, which takes place at the end of March. If you have advice to share that might help shape someone's future career in games, find out more here.
