Boss Fight, Fireproof and SWERY to speak at NASSCOM GDC

India's biggest developer conference will also host Stoic's John Watson and Pencil Test Studios' Mike Deitz

Boss Fight Entertainment's Bill Jackson, Fireproof Studios' Barry Meade and Deadly Premonition creator Hidetaka "SWERY" Suehiro will all speak at this year's NASSCOM Game Developer Conference.

Bill Jackson founded Boss Fight in 2014, following a period as creative director at Zynga where he led the design of CastleVille. Prior to that, he was a producer on Halo Wars for Microsoft's now closed Ensemble Studios.

Meade's career followed a similar trajectory, transitioning from console development with EA's Criterion Games to mobile success with Fireproof Studios. Indeed, Fireproof created one of the most successful premium mobile franchises with The Room. Since then, Fireproof has launched a VR game, Omega Agent, for Vive, Rift and Gear VR.

The remaining keynote speakers illustrate the diversity in NASSCOM's line-up: as the creator of Deadly Premonition and D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, Hidetaka "SWERY" Suehiro is one of the most distinctive voices in game development; John Watson co-founded Stoic with colleagues from Bioware in 2012, and found immediate success through Kickstarter and on PC with The Banner Saga; Pencil Test Studios' Mike Deitz is one of the most experienced figures in animation for video games, thanks to his work on Disney's Aladdin and Earthworm Jim.

This year, NASSCOM GDC will have more than 80 speakers across 8 different tracks, as well as an expanded expo floor with a new pavilion dedicated to VR. The event expects more than 1700 delegates to attend, making it the largest developer event in India.

The conference runs from November 10 to 12 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre. For more information, visit the website. is a media partner for the NASSCOM GDC conference. Our travel and accommodation costs will be provided by the organiser.
