Horizon Chase wins Best Game at BIG Festival

Acclaimed retro racer from Brazilian studio Aquiris takes the top honour

Aquiris Game Studio's Horizon Chase was voted Best Game at this year's BIG Festival Awards, beating out competition from international hits like Superhot and Ape Out.

Aquiris, an independent developer based in Porto Alegre, Brazil, released Horizon Chase on iOS and Android last year. Since then, the retro-styled racer has received strong reviews and numerous awards - with last night's BIG Festival win just the latest in a string of accolades. Aquiris business director Sandro Manfredini also received an individual honour at the ceremony.

I'd never heard of this festival before, I shall watch out for it in future.

Going to go check out Late Shift right now :)

I was there last week, part of the French delegation, and although the Festival is not that big, it was very energetic, with lots of budding indie developers and a few more established studios. It's a long trip but definitely worth it!
