EA: Trump video "an unauthorized use of our IP"

Presidential candidate tweets fan-made, Mass Effect robbing video

Reality TV star and controversial United States presidential candidate Donald Trump caused a minor controversy in the games industry today when he tweeted a fan-made video that merged Trump support with audio from Mass Effect. EA promptly pulled the video and issued a statement.

"The video was an unauthorized use of our IP," a company representative said to GameInformer.

"We do not support our assets being used in political campaigns."

The dodgy video was by no means the weirdest thing that Donald Trump has tweeted. In January he drew attention for retweeting a white supremacy Twitter account and more recently he retweeted unflattering photos of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's wife.
