New CEO for Spil Games

Tung Nguyen-Khac takes over on April 1

Spil Games has appointed a new CEO, Tung Nguyen-Khac, who will take over the running of the company from April 1, 2015.

Nguyen-Khac was previously in charge of German TV network ProSiebenSat.1's gaming arm, which he expanded considerably. Key to that growth was the acquisition of Aeria Games, catapulting ProSiebenSat.1 into the upper echelons of European publishing.

"We're delighted to welcome Tung and count ourselves fortunate to have attracted someone with his blend of talents," said Spil Chairman Hein Pretorius. "He is an excellent fit with Spil Games and his knowledge and insights will drive our strategy going forward."

"I am impressed with the strength and reach of Spil Games' highly profitable web business," added Tung. "I want to use this strength - and in particular Spil Games' 130 million user-base - to build a bridge into mobile gaming. I'm thrilled to be taking the lead in expanding Spil Games' core business and building up a world-beating mobile games division."

Spil has a MAU figure of 130 million for its network on online platforms, providing both publisher and advertising support as well as a simple game embedding system for third parties.
