Intel resumes advertising with Gamasutra

"It was not our intent to take a position in the current controversy"

Intel has backtracked on its rash decision to cease advertising through industry site Gamasutra, resuming its marketing efforts on the site and highlighting the importance of the site's audience to its community.

Intel made the move to cease advertising with the major games industry site after pressure from Gamergate supporters.

"We have resumed advertising on the game developer site Gamasutra," an Intel spokesperson told The Telegraph.

"As we have said in the past, it was not our intent to take a position in the current controversy surrounding the gaming community. We have a long history of support for gaming and game developer communities, and Gamasutra's audience is an important constituency."
