New customer insights VP for Kixeye

Neil Shepherd joins social gaming developer from Quinstreet Inc

Kixeye has appointed a new VP of customer insights. Neil Shepherd, formerly of Quinstreet Inc, will take the newly created role at the Backyard Monsters developer.

"Kixeye is one of the most successful developers in the world, delivering innovative and creative online titles to millions of gamers around the world," said Shepherd.

"I look forward to working with the Kixeye team to build the next generation of highly targeted online game titles."

Shepherd has a strong background in marketing and data. As well as his role as VP of paid media at Quinstreet, he's also worked with consulting firm McKinsey And Company and the Oracle Corporation.

"We're focused on understanding our customers' needs in order to develop innovative online game titles that push the envelope," said CEO Will Harbin.

Kixeye is based in San Francisco and was founded in 2007. Its titles include Backyard Monsters, Battle Pirates and War Commander. It has around 3,780,000 monthly active users across its Facebook apps, and 957,000 daily active users.
