Mimimi Productions wins Game Connection Best Project

Tink game will receive support from SCEE after victory at Paris event

Game Connection has chosen Tink by Mimimi Productions as the top winner its of Selected Projects competition for unsigned games.

The Swapper by Facepalm Games was awarded the special Sony Computer Entertainment award, winning the publisher's backing through development and pre-certification.

Two runner up prizes were also given on the night, to Casual Brothers for Orc Attack and Blossom Minds for Walter. They now have the opportunity to visit SCEE in London for a day's training.

"The standard of this year's entries for Selected Projects has been phenomenal. We've seen many brilliant ideas which prove beyond a doubt that innovation is alive and well in video games," said event creator Pierre Carde.

"I would like to extend my personal thanks to Sony Computer Entertainment and the entire panel of judges who have given their time and expertise so willingly in support of the initiative. Lastly of course, my congratulations go to the very deserving winners. I can't wait to see their inspiring projects come to fruition."

Mimimi Productions is a German developer founded in 2011, and tt's previous games have been Grouded and daWindci, which was developed for iOS. Winning project Tink will be funded by FFF Bayern, a German public film funding organisation.

15 projects were shortlisted for the prizes from around 250 submissions. The results were announced at a ceremony during Game Connection Europe, currently taking place in Paris. Previous winners have included Playdead, Nadeo and Bulkypix.
