Nexon sales up 29% on Dragon Nest launch

Ninth consecutive quarter of growth for free-to-play publisher

Nexon of America has reported a revenue increase of 29 per cent during the third quarter in which it launched new free-to-play title Dragon Nest.

The increase marks the ninth consecutive quarter that sales have grown year on year, as the company prepares for a fourth quarter with launches across Facebook, PC and iOS titles.

"We are pleased with the continued rapid growth that we are seeing in North America," offered Nexon America CEO Daniel Kim.

"Our engaging content and microtransaction-based business model continue to attract new players and to delight our existing players. It is clear that our efforts to deliver what's next online are paying off."
