Industry expert offer practical advice on getting started in the games industry

The Career Fair 2011 will host two days of expert panels featuring representatives from Naughty Dog, Media Molecule, Crytek, Lionhead, Codemasters and Sports Interactive, among many others.

The sessions are designed to give practical advice on starting a career in the industry across a range of disciplines: game design, programming, art & animation, and production & QA, as well as sessions dedicated to education and recruitment.

Among those participating are Sports Interactive studio director Miles Jacobson, Revolution Software founder Charles Cecil, Crytek UK managing director Karl Hilton, Naughty Dog lead designer Richard Lemarchand, and Lionhead Studios lead artist John McCormack.

There will also be a session offering information on the Search for a Star competition, which offers programming graduates the chance to win work experience at UK development studios.

It's a shame none of them can make the Thursday or Sunday slots as the most of the thurs/friday tickets were sold out quite quickly. (I've got a ticket for thursday)

Perhaps next year, they'll spread them out evenly over the 4 days. It might even help with issues of Dev talks and Career talks that you want to see both taking up the same timeslots.
