You Web tech incubator wins $2 million in funding

You Web Incubator, which has helped social game companies like CrowdStar, Sibblingz and iSwifter, has raised $2 million in funding from exisiting investment sources.

You Web has also appointed Michelle Yee Sangster as senior vice president of business development. Sangster has 18 years experience in internet and publishing work, and also worked with US retail giant Walmart.

"Michelle has a long history of success in mobile, social media and e-commerce," chairman Peter Relan told GamesBeat.

"Michelle will be integral to YouWeb's development as it continues to generate disruptive and creative incubations."

You Web's portfolio also included OpenFeint, until it was recently acquired by Gree for $104 million.
