Mobage operator DeNA has announced quarterly sales of $444 million, and $203 million in operating income.
Sales show a 43 per cent increase on the same period last year, while operating income shows a 32 per cent increase.
We are very pleased to yet again exceed goals as we keep our focus on an aggressive plan, said DeNA president Isao Moriyasu.
This quarter we are reporting significant steps toward our goal of creating the definitive global social games network.
Mobage's virtual currency system, Moba-coin, has also shown an increase of 19 per cent on the previous quarter.
Social network Mobage continues to grow with 30 million Japanese users, and in Q1 expanded to the Android market, and formed partnerships with Samsung and NTT DOCOMO INC, the country's biggest mobile operator.
DeNA has also recently begun work with South Korean development studios.
