Eurogamer promotes Bramwell to operations role

Former editor to oversee all websites and tech as Loman focuses on external development

The Eurogamer Network has announced the promotion of Tom Bramwell to the newly-created role of operations director.

Bramwell, who is in his eleventh year of service with the company, moves up from the editor position on Eurogamer.net to oversee all of the company's websites, including GamesIndustry.biz and Megaton.co.uk, as well as the technology department.

The move allows managing director Rupert Loman to focus on the external development of the company, including the newly-acquired US business, commercial development, partner websites and new product development.

"As our longest standing employee, and one who has proven time and again to lead by example and rise to the challenge, we are delighted that Tom will be taking on this new role," said Loman of the move. "He has the respect of everyone within the company and will help drive things on as we continue to grow."

And Bramwell added: "Every day I'm inspired by the integrity, creativity and ambition of the people I work with, and I know together we can achieve the goals we've set ourselves for 2011 and then some. Eleven more years would suit me just fine."
