Amazon hungry for LoveFilm?

Newspaper claims online store attempting to lure game and movie rental firm with £200m

UK newspaper The Sunday Times is reporting that online retailer Amazon has stepped up its long-running interest in online game and movie rental site LoveFilm.

Amazon already owns a 42 per cent stake in LoveFilm, with the latter having absorbed Amazon's own rental service.

The paper does not provide sources, but claimed that Amazon has valued LoveFilm at £200 million.

Reuters also ran with the story, with both parties declining to comment on the alleged offer.
