Aphid Fiasco

Leander, TX, December 4th, 2009 - rayBLAST has begun the development stage of their sophomore effort, Aphid Fiasco. The new title is a far departure from the science fiction, alien and asteroid themed, impaXor, the independent studioʼs first release. Aphid Fiasco will feature a memory based game mechanic that will challenge the playerʼs ability to recall patterns. With pre-production out of the way and studio resources available, rayBLAST is fully focused on Aphid Fiasco. Using the established pipeline from the previous development effort, all relative assets are already in place. The powerful Unity iPhone Advanced game engine will be utilized once again as well as custom in-house tools. Production is expected to run more smoothly since all pipeline details have been realized.
Aphid Fiasco will be AGON Online enabled and feature online leaderboards, achievements, and support posting scores to Facebook and Twitter. A full soundtrack will be included with numerous original pieces of music. Aphid Fiasco is intended for iPhone and iPod touch. About Marshal D. Hernandez - an artist turned game developer with over 15 years experience in multimedia and professional graphics. During his career, he has filled key roles in game and multimedia projects ranging from concept artist to art director. Marshal has worked on game art and marketing collateral for titles such as Konductra, Deca Sports, Alien Crush Returns, Marble Saga Kororinpa, and Bomberman Ultra.
