Voice agency joins TIGA.

September 21, 2009

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced Another Tongue as its newest member.

Another Tongue is one of the UK’s leading voice agencies based in the heart of London's West End. Another Tongue represents over 300 voice artists including household names such as Sean Pertwee (Dog Soldiers), Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey), Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes), Kris Marshall (My Family), Saffron Burrows (300), Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) and Natascha McElhone (Truman Show).

Another Tongue have worked on some of the biggest games brands, from providing the entire voice cast for Harry Potter The Philosophers Stone back in 2000, through to talent for James Bond titles, Driver 2 and Jason Donovan for the Buzz! Franchise.

In addition to computer games, Another Tongue provide voice talent for TV and radio commercials, animation, documentaries, audio books and much more, working with the biggest global brands such as Emirates, Nokia, Adidas, Nike, L’Oreal and HSBC.

John Love, Director of Another Tongue stated: “Our reasons for joining TIGA are two fold, firstly we have fantastic contacts with writers, animators and actors throughout the film, TV, radio and publishing industries and we want to help foster greater communication between these industries and the games industry, something which TIGA have also been driving through the Play Together initiatives.”

“Secondly, our actors simply love working on video games. For actors video games offer a different dimension to their work and a unique challenge. We recognise that games are now so lifelike that voice talent needs to be of the same high standard to deliver a truly unforgettable immersive experience for the player.”

Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO stated: “Another Tongue bring a wealth of experience and connections in the wider broadcasting world to TIGA. They not only provide our members with access to the best voice talent available, but they can also provide fantastic advice and consultancy on potential collaborations between the games industry and the wider creative industries including film and TV.”
