Anno 1701 sets sail for mobiles

Complete with in-game PC connectivity

Strategy game Anno 1701 will launch on mobile phones in Europe at the same time as its counterpart on the home PC.

The two games will be able to communicate with each other, allowing players to transfer points accumulated through mobile play to the PC game.

Anno 1701 mobile has been produced in cooperation with Keyfactor, a communications and production company, developer Twistbox Games and mobile specialist Kaasa Solution.

Its makers claim Anno 1701 is the first game of its kind to allow direct connection between the PC and mobile phone via WAP and the internet.

The market launch of Anno 1701 mobile is scheduled for October 26th and will be sold internationally via network operators and portals.
