Alliance Distributors continues to grow

Net income up by $94,000 compared to previous year, sales up 7 per cent

Alliance Distributors, video game and console wholesalers, saw net income rise to $360,000 for the three month period ending December 31 2011, compared to $266,000 in the same period last year.

Net sales also increased by 7 per cent, from $19.4 million to $20.8 million.

"We are very gratified to have achieved revenue and income growth during a period of double digit declines throughout most of the video game industry," said CEO Jay Gelman.

It's good news for the distributor, especially given the recent gloomy reports from the NPD, which showed a 38 per cent drop in hardware sales and a 37 per cent drop in software in January compared to the previous year.
