All Points Bulletin (APB)

Servers still live and updates and improvements continuing despite administration of developers.

DUNDEE, Scotland — Thursday, 19 August 2010 – Realtime Worlds in administration, has announced a UK restructure designed to create a business that can support APB: All Points Bulletin, as an ongoing online service for current and future players.

APB will continue as a live service in the US and Europe during restructuring with full game and community support continuing during this period. Future updates and game improvements are in the pipeline including and a new patch went live this week.

The latest patch on the Public Test World will include:

Matchmaking changes to allow for more player control (on/off duty) coupled with more immediate fairer matches

Combat and gameplay changes including recoil and weapon rebalancing, for a more immersive experience

New vehicle handling model

Advanced graphics options

Improved HUD messaging

VoIP improvements

New clothing, symbols, vehicles and instrument packs

Joint administrator Paul Dounis, of business rescue and restructuring specialist Begbies Traynor confirmed their commitment to keeping APB live whist negotiations to find a buyer for Realtime Worlds continue. Mr Dounis commented, “We want to offer reassurance to gamers that APB will not only continue as an online service but will be improved and supported 100% during this restructure”
