Alawar Entertainment releases Magic Ball II

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dale City, Va. - December 6, 2004 - Alawar Entertainment (www.alawar.com), a leading publisher of casual games for the PC, has released Magic Ball II, the all-new sequel to the Web's number one game download. Magic Ball and Magic Ball II pay tribute to the arcade gameplay of Arkanoid, in which the player wipes out all of the bricks on the screen using a ball, a paddle and select bonuses.

The original Magic Ball was the first Arkanoid remake to feature 3D level design based on locations and objects found in the real world. Critics hailed it as "fun and addictive" (GameZone.com) and "one of the better Breakout games" (GameTunnel.com). Magic Ball also found success with players, who made it one of the top offerings on Yahoo! Games, RealArcade and GameXtazy.com.

Magic Ball II is an all-new sequel featuring additional bonuses, enhanced special effects and elaborate level design. One map, for example, includes a pastoral setting that begins with sheep grazing in a field and a brook flowing past a small cottage; moments later, dozens of balls are bouncing around the screen, the house is crumbling and bonuses are raining toward the paddle.

Players will also stop a runaway train, demolish a burning building and topple a giant monster rampaging through city streets. Luckily, cannons and other weapons that discharge when hit with a ball give brick-busting fans the upper hand.
