LAND O’LAKES, FLORIDA – October 29, 2010 – Artix Entertainment, an indie game development studio that runs download-free browser-based RPGS , is preparing for the MMO AdventureQuest Worlds’ biggest Halloween celebration yet. Over 19 million players have traded in their suits of armor for Witch, Wizard, and Werewolf costumes in preparation for the spooky festivities.
Graveyard skeletons and candy-crazed ghouls are the least of the players’ problems. A Vampire Lord is gathering an army of monsters and goblins set to destroy the players’ home town this Halloween. Wars in AQWorlds are server-wide events. All players battle cooperatively to defeat monsters and a war meter keeps track of the total number of monsters defeated. If the players fail to defeat the monsters in time, the players will lose and there will be dire consequences… this weekend, their home town could be sucked into the mist realm for an entire year.
Luckily, Kimberly, lead singer of One-Eyed Doll and former Chaos Lord, will return to the game this weekend with a new song and music video premiere. Her sweet voice and face-melting punk rock guitar will inspire the heroes to vampire-slaying victory.
One-Eyed Doll’s new music video, that, ironically enough, is called “You’re a Vampire,” will premiere inside the game during this event. Their new song is an awesome rock remix of one of their original songs and is the perfect music to battle the Vampire Lord's minions to.
