Adam Standing appointment

Joining our eleven existing niche writers we have Adam Standing. His moniker is the Soulful Gamer, and rather than writing about game mechanics, graphics and sound, he will be looking for a deeper experience. In his own words:

"Soulful gaming is found in a myriad of places. Games that tell a meaningful story with believable characters. Games that tackle issues larger than the latest run and gun technology. And for me in particular, games that connect me to an inspiring story often quietly overlooked by other players."

"Growing older means I want more than just a visual experience from a game. Sure, I enjoy a mindless shooter or arcade racer as much as the next man. But sitting down to play something around a meaningful drama with life engaging themes is the real stuff that gives me chills."

As Game People continues to invest in unusual and interesting responses to video games we are excited by the level of interest both from the online gaming press and national media. A number of our writers have proved the wisdom of this approach by landing substantial freelancing contract work.
