Activision Blizzard has appointed two new C-level hires: new chief marketing officer David Messinger and new chief people officer Claudine Naughton.

Variety reports that Messinger's new role at Activision-Blizzard represents the first time the company has had a corporate-wide chief marketing officer to oversee marketing across all the company's distinct brands.

Meanwhile, Claudine Naughton will assume the role of chief people officer, overseeing company-wide HR. Naughton has over two decades of experience in various leadershp and HR-related positions with the American International Group, most recently as executive vice president and chief human resources officer.

The former chief people officer, Brian Stolz, will move into a newly-created role with Activision-Blizzard of senior advisor.
