A New Generation of Mobile Gaming Technology Has Arrived

Today, Amsterdam based Ex Machina is introducing a new generation of Multiplayer technology for mobile phones - Mobiles United, a mobile gaming community solution, and Deus 2.0, multiplayer engine and SDK.

This new combination of products provides a software and service solution for building communities of people playing live multiplayer and online games within mobile portals. It is optimized for integration with CRM and billing infrastructure and provides a seamless user identity across all games and community elements. Mobiles United will first launch in the Finnish market in February 2006 providing multiplayer games by leading mobile games developers and publishers.

After entering the mobile games market with its first online games solution for mobile back in 2002, Ex Machina sees the market for community games is now ready for major growth. Current 3G networks and powerful new phones provide new opportunities on a large scale, while common phones and 2.5G reach a mass market already and are fully supported by the new Deus' tiny footprint and flexibility. From basic turn-based all the way up to location based and MMOG, Deus 2.0 powers it all. In addition to Deus technology, Mobiles United provides the end-to-end experience that sophisticated mobile consumers will come to expect, with exclusive games, a personalized approach, exciting competitions and communication capabilities.

Increasingly, Ex Machina sees publishers, broadcast networks and advertisers entering the market of mobile content. Deus 2.0 supports hybrid usage from IP connected devices, already powering GPRS and UMTS phones, digital TV and PC's. This provides new opportunities to mix and match connections with target audiences, such as competitions, play along with broadcast TV quizzes and participation in live events.
