A Culinary Crisis Heads To The Nintendo DS(TM) As Majesco Entertainment Announces 'Cake Mania'

Runaway #1 Hit Online Game Goes Handheld

Edison, N.J., September 7th, 2006 - Let the flour fly in Cake Mania, an addictive online game coming to the Nintendo DS courtesy of Majesco Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: COOL), an innovative provider of digital entertainment products and content. Based on the original title from one of the leading casual games publishers, Sandlot Games, Cake Mania combines a new Touch Screen element with the same fast-paced cake-baking fun that has captivated millions of online players worldwide. As an added bonus, Cake Mania for the Nintendo DS includes the full online game plus the Back to the Bakery expansion pack.

"Mania is the key word here, because what starts as a manageable day at the bakery quickly blossoms into a chaotic flurry of customer service, baking, frosting and decorating," said Ken Gold, vice president of Marketing, Majesco Entertainment. "Given its tremendous popularity and mouse-driven mechanics, Cake Mania was the perfect title to offer Nintendo DS owners looking for a portable experience that makes the most of their stylus."

"Cake Mania is a natural fit for the Nintendo DS platform," said Daniel Bernstein, President and CEO, Sandlot Games. "We are confident that through our partnership with Majesco, baking cakes will be the new rage on the DS in 2007."

Players assume the role of Jill who returns from culinary school to find her beloved grandparents' bakery closed down because a new Mega-Mart store opened in the neighborhood. Players must upgrade Jill's kitchen with state-of-the-art baking tools while serving her increasingly difficult customers so she can ultimately earn enough money to re-open her grandparents' bakery. Offering more than 80 levels of progressively frenetic baking, Cake Mania challenges gamers to simultaneously handle all aspects of customer service via the Touch Screen, from handing out menus and collecting cash, to baking, frosting and decorating cakes. As her customer base grows, so does the frantic pace of the bakery until Jill is a cake-making maniac! Developed by Digital Embryo that was represented in this deal by Union Entertainment, Cake Mania will be available in early 2007 for a suggested retail price of $19.99.
