2010 Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards

TIGA shortlisted in four categories.

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced it has been shortlisted in four categories in the 2010 Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards.

The winners of each category will be announced at the 2010 Awards Dinner in London on 1 July 2010. Sir Alan Sugar’s right-hand man, Nick Hewer, hosts this year’s event.

TIGA is shortlisted in four categories:

• Sector Representation Award

• Member Recruitment Award

• Annual Report of the Year Award

• Website of the Year Award

The Special Awards (The Individual Contribution Award; The Leadership Award; The Lifetime Achievement Award and the Trade Association of the Year Award) are not shortlisted, with the winners being announced at the Awards Dinner on 1 July 2010.

The Awards recognise and celebrate the remarkable achievements of trade associations across the UK. They aim to foster the search for excellence, reward achievement and encourage the communication and adoption of best practice amongst Forum members. Now in the 8th consecutive year, the Awards attract entries from all sectors and from associations of all sizes and have established themselves as an unmissable event in the trade association diary.

About the Trade Association Forum:

Since its formation in 1997, the Trade Association Forum has been encouraging the development and sharing of best practice among UK trade associations and promoting the role of effective trade associations to government, industry and the wider public.

The Forum provides its members with a range of services and activities designed to assist them in the strategic development and day to day running of their organisations but is not a policy setting body.

Funded by its members, with support from the CBI and the DTI, the Forum is an unincorporated body operating with guidance from a Steering Group of trade association representatives. The Forum is based within the offices of the Confederation of British Industry at Centre Point in London with its administration provided by the CBI.
