1st 3D title from I-play launches

London, UK & San Mateo, CA- 31st August 2005: I-play, the mobile games company, today announced the launch of its first ever-3D title, Major Carnage. Developed by Ditto Studios, the mobile games porting specialist and developer that I-play recently acquired, Major Carnage launches on a wide range of handsets with 3D capabilities across European and North American wireless networks.

The year is 2013 and the Earth Federation is under attack from the Wolfmarl Hordes. Only one man can repel the invading hordes: Major Carnage, the heroic, fearless space commander. Players travel through stunning 3D locations across the galaxy in a quest to destroy the alien invaders and - of course - save mankind! With a trusty jetpack players must prowl the bad lands of space and take out the enemies using a variety of power-up weapons, blasting their way to glory.

Key features include six fantastic levels with a variety of enemies to repel and hazards to avoid and visually sumptuous full 3D graphics with space stunningly brought to life. The enemy characters are supported by sophisticated Artificial Intelligence, particularly level-end bosses; each level is built using state of the art modeling, animation and rendering software used by console game developers and Hollywood studios.

Mark Bridgeman, MD of Ditto commented: "We're hugely excited to be launching our first ever 3D title. With 600 million new handsets being bought every year, 3G handsets will not be regarded as high end or early adopter for very long. Producing cutting edge products that take advantage of the new technology available is essential for the continuing innovation in the market overall. This is probably the richest visual experience to hit the mobile phone market."
