UK Charts: World War Z lurches to the top in debut week

The Division 2 drops to No.3, Snooker 19: The Official Video Game debuts at No.9

It was almost a quiet week for the UK charts with very little movement once again - if not for newly released co-op shooter World War Z taking the top spot from Tom Clancy's The Division 2.

The Division 2 sales dropped 32% from last week all the way down to No.3, below both World War Z and FIFA 19, the latter of which has steadily held the No.2 spot for three weeks running now and shot up 47% during a price drop over the Easter weekend.

Elsewhere in the top 10, there was very little movement. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remained at No.4, managing neither a significant loss nor a gain in sales compared to last week. Red Dead Redemption 2 saw a 9% drop that brought it from No.3 to No.5 with the rise of World War Z, Assassin's Creed Odyssey remained steady throughout the Easter sale, and Yoshi's Crafted World dropped two spots once again, down 14% to No. 7.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, saw neither loss nor gain over last week, but dropped one spot to No. 8 due also to World War Z pushing everything down.

No.9 featured another debut contender - Snooker 19: The Official Video Game, which pushed New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe to No.10. The only other new entries this week in the Top 40 were Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, entering at No.20, and My Time at Portia at No.27.

Further down, Anthem saw a 206% increase in sales last week that renewed its place in the Top 40 at No.15.

Here is the UKIE/GfK Top Ten for the week ending April 13. As always, these are retail rankings only and do not count digital sales.
