Meet the Team

As managing editor of GamesIndustry.biz, Phil is responsible for the site's overall strategy, as well as managing external relationships, business development, events and the GamesIndustry.biz Network.

He joined the Eurogamer Network in July 2007, and has previously worked as editor at GameSpot UK, and consumer technology and gaming correspondent for BBC Radio Five Live, where he established the Talking Technology programme.

He has also written for the BBC News website, and appeared on BBC TV and radio networks on numerous occasions, discussing the gaming issues of the day.

Matt Martin has been with GamesIndustry.biz since in August 2006, and was promoted to editor in September 2008 with responsibility for the news agenda and day-to-day running of the site.

Matt has over ten years experience in journalism, working in-house and freelance for a variety of trade, business to business and consumer publications from Informa Group, Intent Media, Future Publishing, Imagine Publishing and Tudor Rose, amongst others.

His work has appeared in a diverse selection of publications including MCV, Finance on Windows, Television Business International, PlayStation Gamer, Xbox World, PC Retail, Prime, Reach, i-D and Hip Hop Connection.

Kath has been working in games journalism since 2003, when her career began with multi-format Future Publishing magazine GamesMaster.

She was subsequently promoted to reviews editor, during which time she was among the first few members of the world media to review games such as Mario Galaxy and Zelda: Twilight Princess. This role was followed by a stint as a freelance writer, covering games for a range of consumer magazines and websites such as the Official Nintendo and PlayStation magazines, PSM3, Xbox World and IGN.

Kath's expert opinion has been quoted across assorted newspapers and in other media. As deputy editor of Gamesindustry.biz she contributes cutting-edge news and exclusive features to the site.

Rupert co-founded Eurogamer Network Limited in September 1999. In 2002 he oversaw the launch of GamesIndustry.biz and helped the site to quickly establish itself as the leading news and information resource for the interactive entertainment industry.

Along with GamesIndustry.biz, Eurogamer Network publishes a wide range of leading consumer videogames websites including Eurogamer.net, Eurogamer TV and Eurogamer.de.
