Taipei Game Show 2016

As worldwide attention is now focusing on Asia-Pacific game industry, TAIPEI GAME SHOW 2016 is expected to reach more than 500,000 public visits and 3,000 trade visitors next year. The game show will be held on January 28th – February 2nd at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1 in Taiwan. Up to now, the event has attracted more than 130 game companies and teams from 24 countries signing up for the B2B zone.

Global Game Jam 2016

The GGJ brings together talented individuals from within your community. It is a unique opportunity for people to push their skills and challenge their way of working. Participants work concurrently with developers around the globe; we rally around a central theme, and then have 48 hours to create a game. It's our hope that we will see some very experimental realized prototypes that you can continue to work on after the jam. Many games developed in previous Game Jams have become fully realized games. The GGJ is open source, hardware & software agnostic and all projects are protected under a Creative Commons license. We encourage people to try out new ideas and push themselves, within reason. We also strongly encourage participants to remember to eat and sleep, to stay at their best!

Platform Expo

Platform is the annual event in the Humber region that showcases the culture of the video game & content creation industry’s in a two day event jam packed with activities for all: from hands on gaming to industry speakers and workshops.

PAX South 2016

In 2004, the folks at Penny Arcade decided they wanted a show exclusively for gaming. Sure, comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies were cool, and those activities all had their own shows… so what about games? From that idea spawned a small 4,500 person event in Bellevue, Washington, focused on the culture and community that is gaming.

Interactive Entertainment 2016

Interactive Entertainment is Australasia's longest running games and digital entertainment conference. The twelfth series of the conference will be held 2-5 February 2016 as part of the Australasian Computer Science Week (ACSW 2016) - http://cs.anu.edu.au/conf/acsw2016/. In 2004, the folks at Penny Arcade decided they wanted a show exclusively for gaming. Sure, comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies were cool, and those activities all had their own shows… so what about games? From that idea spawned a small 4,500 person event in Bellevue, Washington, focused on the culture and community that is gaming.

Since then, the show hasn’t looked back. Doubling in size each year until venue capacities were reached, in 2010 the show expanded into Boston for PAX East, drawing tens of thousands of attendees in the inaugural year. The shows in Seattle and Boston represent the two largest gaming events in North America!

White Nights
