Global Game Jam

The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world's largest game jam event (game creation) taking place around the world at physical locations. Think of it as a hackathon focused on game development. It is the growth of an idea that in today’s heavily connected world, we could come together, be creative, share experiences and express ourselves in a multitude of ways using video games – it is very universal. The weekend stirs a global creative buzz in games, while at the same time exploring the process of development, be it programming, iterative design, narrative exploration or artistic expression.

It is all condensed into a 48 hour development cycle. The GGJ encourages people with all kinds of backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity.

BeatCon Music & Games Festival 2015

In the auditorium area of Paviljonki, with capacity for 1200 people, game developers, companies and producers will be offered several opportunities of workshops, lecturers and round-table discussions, with the goal of improving the game market, creating new opportunities and nurturing relationships.

The event will also count with the presence of special guests from Music Business, which will discuss the best practices for licensing music for games and digital media.

This year our keynote speaker will be Tanya X.Short Captain of Kitfox Games and Co-Director of Pixelles, a non-profit helping more women make games. PC Gaming Show 2015

Gamelab Barcelona 2015

Insomnia

Insomnia is a culmination of all of the best bits of videogaming. At an Insomnia Gaming Festival we have a little something for everyone.

PAX Prime 2015

In 2004, the folks at Penny Arcade decided they wanted a show exclusively for gaming. Sure, comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies were cool, and those activities all had their own shows… so what about games? From that idea spawned a small 4,500 person event in Bellevue, Washington, focused on the culture and community that is gaming.

Since then, the show hasn’t looked back. Doubling in size each year until venue capacities were reached, in 2010 the show expanded into Boston for PAX East, drawing tens of thousands of attendees in the inaugural year. The shows in Seattle and Boston represent the two largest gaming events in North America!

DevGamm Hamburg

PAX Australia 2015

In 2004, the folks at Penny Arcade decided they wanted a show exclusively for gaming. Sure, comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies were cool, and those activities all had their own shows... so what about games? From that idea spawned a small 4,500 person event in Bellevue, Washington, focused on the culture and community that is gaming. Since then, the show hasn't looked back. Doubling in size each year until venue capacities were reached, in 2010 the show expanded into Boston for PAX East, drawing tens of thousands of attendees in the inaugural year. The shows in Seattle and Boston represent the two largest gaming events in North America, and in 2013 for the first time PAX expanded internationally to Australia where it is now a yearly event!
