Position Overview

In an expansion of our core tech team we are looking for a UI toolkit programmer to provide functionality for our UI widget toolkit used in our products and tools.Reporting into the Technical Lead Programmer, you will be writing C++ code to maintain, improve, optimise and add new functionality to our widget toolkit.You should have at least two years experience working with existing widget toolkits such as wxWidgets, Qt, GTK+, Windows Forms and similar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and developing new UI functionality
  • Supporting the UI toolkit across multiple platforms
  • Maintaining the UI toolkit to improve performance, user experience and functionality
  • Working on product UI as well as the UI toolkit that drives the UI
  • Analyse, debug and fix issues


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Professional experience developing in C++
  • Extensive knowledge of C++
  • Knowledge of other programming languages such as Objective-C and Python
  • Great software engineering skills
  • A passion for user interface design and programming
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Self-motivated, with a drive to continuously improve yourself and your peers
  • Interest and experience in developing on multiple platforms, including handheld
