Job Title Flash Programmer (Home Based)

Job Description This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Flash Programmer.

While the role is primarily home based you will be in regular contact with the development team and weekly visits to the studio will be required. Alternatively the position can be based full time at the studio.

Our Client was established in 2004 by a number of games industry veterans covering Art, Design, Programming and Commercial. Since then the team has expanded considerably, now operating with an experienced staff of 12 and a growing number of outside contractors. The core team has released games that have sold over 4 million units across 7 SKUs and won over 5 industry awards for design. Their debut game was selected as a Windows Vista Showcase Game and was premiered at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2007.

Our Client focuses on creating games which are simple, accessible, compelling and fun for the rapidly growing audience of casual games players around the world. The games are designed to appeal to a very broad audience, ensuring every computer user can pick up and enjoy one of their games, no matter what age, sex or level of experience.

They currently has Distribution Agreements in place with Microsoft, Big Fish Games, Oberon, iWin, Macrovision, FreezeTag, TotalGaming.net. They currently have arrangements in place with Google Ads and MochiAds for an advertising revenue stream. As well as game development, our Client also acts as a main contractor and core technology provider for research and development projects.


Candidates must have:-

- Experience of running own projects

- Be able to adhere to strict deadlines

- Experience of recommending technologies to be used for projects

- Preferred experience of programming across multiple formats

- Experience of flash development preferred

- Ability to schedule tasks required from conception to completion

- Games demo or programme to support work

- Good team player and show passion for the games they create

- Health Insurance, flexible / home working
