Job Description THE COMPANY

A leading UK developer and publisher with a proven track record in successful mass-market titles.

They offer the opportunity to work on a number of projects covering a broad range of genres including driving, social and casual games for traditional boxed retail and digital distribution via XBLA, PSN, WiiWare etc.

The studio is medium sized meaning there are real opportunities for recognition and ownership of projects.

Following recent investment they are now planning for the expansion of their business through investing in the development of new titles for both current and next-gen platforms.

THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a lead programmer with strong organisational skills for a new unannounced Wii project. Team lead experience is essential as the role requires both coding and management in equal measure.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:-

* Minimum of 5 years industry experience

* Completed at least 1 console title as a lead programmer

* Advanced understanding in C++

* Experience in all aspects of game development

* Experience in the design and implementation of large system architecture

* Experience in code team management and scheduling

* Willingness to take ownership and responsibility

* Ability to communicate with other discipline leads and provide status reports to management

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
